In Europe the term for this kind of Indo Kashan, ca. 1920 is "American Indo Kashan, ca. 1920". Of course "American" rugs are not made in America, they are re-imports from America to Europe. In the beginning of the 20th century up to the 1930s, certain rugs were made specifically for the American market and taste which had of course common characteristic designs and colors. These were apparently also much appreciated by Europeans which can be seen by their high popularity to this day.
